A diabetes diet simply means eating the right foods in moderation and sticking to regular meal timings.


A diabetes diet plan is a healthy-eating plan that is naturally rich in nutrients and low in fat and calories.The key elements in a diabetic diet are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Following a  plan helps you control your blood sugar (glucose), manage your weight and control risk factors for heart disease, such as high blood pressure and high blood fats.


When you eat excess calories or/and fat, your body responds by creating an undesirable rise in blood sugar levels.
