This is an inherited condition and sensorineural <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/is-hearing-loss-common-among-diabetics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hearing loss<\/a> is a common symptom. This condition is also known as DIDMOAD which stands for Diabetes Insipidus, Diabetes Mellitus, Optic Atrophy, and Deafness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mutations in the WFS1 gene can lead to Wolfram Syndrome. This gene regulates the production of the amount of calcium present in the cells.
