Almond flour is used as a better alternative to regular flour)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 tbsp Butter<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8 tbsp Milk (hot)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 tsp of coffee (optional)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\/4 tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tsp baking powder<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50 grams of artificial sweetener\/<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/32Nl07G\">stevia<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can add&nbsp;<\/span><\/em>honey,<em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;which is natural and is sweeter than sugar. You can use about 3\/4 the amount of honey when making your substitution (e.g., for 1 cup of sugar, use a generous 3\/4 cup of honey). Decrease the liquid by 3 to 4 tablespoons per 1 cup substitution.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Frosting_Ingredients\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frosting Ingredients<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">200 grams or 8 oz Diabetic Chocolate<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">200 ml Sour Cream<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50 grams\/ or 1\/4 cup &nbsp;Butter<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tsp Vanilla<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Method_for_Diabetic_Chocolate_Cake\"><\/span>Method for Diabetic Chocolate Cake<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Preheat the oven to 180 \u00b0C\/340 \u00b0F<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grease and &nbsp;line an 8 inch round baking pan (any other shape you want)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the ingredients must be brought to room temperature.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"335\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_468388310.jpg\" alt=\"eggs\" class=\"wp-image-9116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_468388310.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_468388310-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_468388310-420x235.jpg 420w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Separate the eggs &#8211; add the egg yolks to the mixer bowl.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mix the almond flour with the baking powder, cocoa powder and half the salt. <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Melt the butter and chocolate in a microwave safe bowl or in a double boiler. Set aside to cool.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add coffee to the hot milk to make a paste. Let it cool.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mix the batter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Break the eggs yolks in an electric mixer bowl; add salt &#8211; use a whisk attachment and whisk on medium-low.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slowly add in the sugar substitute &#8211; continue to whisk until light and foamy.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combine the cooled coffee mixture to the cooled chocolate mixture &#8211; then add it to the whipped egg yolks.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now add the almond mixture. <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a clean grease-proof mixer &#8211; whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until light and fluffy.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gently fold the whipped egg whites to the batter. Use a whisk to mix in the first addition to lighten the batter, then switch to a spatula and fold in the rest.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"335\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_1713886468.jpg\" alt=\"cake\" class=\"wp-image-9115\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_1713886468.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_1713886468-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.beatoapp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/shutterstock_1713886468-420x235.jpg 420w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour batter into your prepared baking pan.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes for a single layer (about 20 to 25 minutes for two layers) until the skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. &nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once baked cool in the pan for 10 mins, then remove from pan and cool completely before decorating.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_the_Frosting\"><\/span>Make the Frosting<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add in the butter. The heat in the chocolate is usually enough to melt the butter, if not just place in microwave for 10 secs or so.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let the chocolate cool to room temperature, then add the sour cream and vanilla.
