Janmashtami (also known as Gokul Ashtami)  is celebrated every year to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna is known to be a preserver of Dharma and the one who destroyed Adharma.
On this day, Krishna’s devotees adorn his idol with flowers. Curd, milk and ‘Maakhan- white butter’ are also offered as a part of the ritual. 

Lord Krishna dwells in the hearts of all beings. He epitomizes Universal Knowledge and the essence of all Vedic teachings.
Lord Krishna’s teachings are based on wisdom, love and intellect and are contained in the 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavad Gita is a form of a guiding light that continues to enlighten people across ages. It helps you to get a better understanding of life and perform the corresponding actions.
