Serves – 12 portions
- Chenna 300 gm
- Sweetener 30 gm
- Ripe Mango (optional) 80 gm
- Cardamom seeds 10 gm
- Kesar 1 gm
- Dry Fruits (Powdered) 30 gm
- Dry Fruits (Chopped) 20 gm
- Transfer the chenna to a large plate and mash it with the heel of your palm until it’s smooth
- Add sweetener, cardamom, nutmeg, mace, rose water and half the saffron. Mash this mixture again until it’s soft and smooth.
- In a pressure cooker or steamer, bring the water to a boil.
- Grease the pan or the steel container. Put the mixture on the steel container and sprinkle the rest of the saffron strands.
- Steam for 20 minutes.
- Take out the pan and set it aside to cool.
- Refrigerate for one hour. Invert it on a plate and transfer it to a serving plate.
- Cut it into squares of the desired size and serve.
